Laboratory testing provides the objective data that transforms generic healthcare into personalized medicine. At Rani Beauty Clinic in Renton, WA, our in-house lab work capability allows us to screen, monitor, and optimize your health efficiently.

Complete Blood Count (CBC): Measures red blood cells, white blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelets. This test screens for anemia, infection, immune function, and blood clotting capacity. It is a foundational test included in most health assessments.

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP): Measures glucose, electrolytes, kidney function, and liver function. This panel provides a broad overview of metabolic health and organ function. Fasting glucose levels above normal may indicate prediabetes or insulin resistance, both relevant to weight management.

Lipid Panel: Measures total cholesterol, LDL (bad) cholesterol, HDL (good) cholesterol, and triglycerides. Cardiovascular risk assessment is particularly relevant for weight management patients, as weight loss typically improves lipid profiles.

Thyroid Panel (TSH, Free T3, Free T4): Thyroid function directly affects metabolic rate, energy, weight, skin health, and mood. Even subclinical thyroid dysfunction (values within the normal range but at the extremes) can contribute to weight gain, fatigue, and dry skin. For weight management patients, optimal thyroid function is essential.

Hemoglobin A1c: Measures average blood sugar over the past three months. Values above 5.7 percent indicate prediabetes. Values above 6.5 percent indicate diabetes. This test is particularly important for weight management patients and helps track metabolic improvement during treatment.

Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy): Measures vitamin D status. Levels below 30 ng/mL indicate deficiency. In the Pacific Northwest, deficiency is extremely common due to limited sun exposure. Low vitamin D is associated with fatigue, mood changes, weakened immunity, and bone health concerns. Results guide vitamin D3 injection recommendations.

Vitamin B12: Measures B12 status. Deficiency causes fatigue, cognitive fog, weakness, and neurological symptoms. B12 absorption decreases with age and certain medications. Results determine whether B12 injections are indicated and at what frequency.

Hormone Panels: Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA-S, and other hormones can be measured to assess hormonal balance. These tests are particularly relevant for patients experiencing symptoms of perimenopause, menopause, or andropause, and for understanding how hormonal status affects weight, skin, and overall wellness.

Inflammatory Markers (CRP, ESR): These tests measure systemic inflammation, which is associated with chronic disease risk, accelerated aging, and impaired healing. Elevated inflammation may affect aesthetic treatment outcomes and overall health.

How to prepare for lab work: Most panels require fasting for 8 to 12 hours before the blood draw. Drink water normally. Take your regular medications unless your provider instructs otherwise. Avoid vigorous exercise the morning of your lab work.

Understanding your results: Normal reference ranges are provided on your lab report, but optimal ranges for wellness may differ from the standard lab ranges. A value within the normal range but at the extreme end may still warrant attention. Your provider at Rani Beauty Clinic will review your results in the context of your symptoms, goals, and overall health picture.

At Rani Beauty Clinic, lab work is not an afterthought. It is the foundation for personalized, evidence-based treatment recommendations that produce better outcomes than generic protocols.
