Over time, the marks fade to white or silver as the blood vessels recede and the scar tissue matures.
Fresh stretch marks with pink or red coloration respond best to treatment because they still have active blood supply and healing potential. The collagen fibers are damaged but the skin is still in a reparative state. Early intervention during this window produces the most significant improvement.

Realistic expectations are essential. Complete elimination of stretch marks is not achievable with any current treatment.
