First-Timer Guide

First Time BioRePeel: What to Expect

Expert guidance from Dr. Alexander Landfield, Board-Certified Neurologist

BioRePeel is an innovative bi-phasic peel that delivers the exfoliation and renewal benefits of a traditional chemical peel without the extended downtime. Using a patented blend of TCA, amino acids, and vitamins, BioRePeel revitalizes your skin from the inside out. Here's what your first experience will look like.

Pain Level

Very comfortable — most patients rate it 1–2 out of 10, with only mild tingling during application

Duration

30–40 minutes from start to finish

Downtime

Minimal to no downtime — mild flaking possible on days 2–3, but most patients experience no visible peeling

Sessions

A series of 4–6 sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart for optimal results, with monthly maintenance treatments

Before Your Appointment

  • 1Discontinue retinoids and exfoliating acids (AHAs, BHAs) for 3–5 days before treatment
  • 2Avoid sun exposure and self-tanners for at least 1 week prior
  • 3Come with a clean face — no makeup or active skincare products on the treatment area
  • 4Inform your provider if you have any active skin conditions, open wounds, or recent procedures on the treatment area

During Your Treatment

1

Skin Assessment

Your clinician evaluates your skin type, concerns, and goals to customize the BioRePeel application technique and any complementary serums.

2

Cleansing

Your skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove any oils, debris, or residue that could interfere with peel penetration.

3

BioRePeel Application

The bi-phasic solution is applied to your face (and neck or decolletage if included). You may feel a mild tingling or warmth as the active ingredients begin working. The peel is massaged into the skin in a specific technique to maximize absorption.

4

Processing

The peel is left on for a controlled period. Unlike traditional peels, BioRePeel's patented formula allows the active ingredients to work at a controlled depth without aggressive surface peeling.

5

Removal & Finishing

The peel is removed and a calming, hydrating serum followed by SPF is applied. Your skin will feel refreshed and have an immediate luminosity.

After Your Treatment

  • Your skin will appear brighter and feel smoother immediately — minimal to no visible peeling is typical
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and apply SPF 30+ sunscreen daily for at least 1 week
  • Skip active skincare (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs) for 48 hours post-treatment
  • Some patients experience mild flaking on days 2–3, which resolves quickly — do not pick or scrub

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes BioRePeel different from a regular chemical peel?

BioRePeel uses a patented bi-phasic technology that combines the benefits of a TCA peel with a nourishing blend of amino acids, vitamins, and GABA. Unlike traditional peels that cause significant surface peeling, BioRePeel works primarily within the skin — stimulating cell turnover and collagen production with minimal visible peeling. This means faster recovery and more comfortable treatments.

Will my face peel after BioRePeel?

Most patients experience little to no visible peeling after BioRePeel — that's one of its key advantages. Some patients notice mild, fine flaking on days 2–3, which is easily managed with moisturizer and resolves quickly. The lack of dramatic peeling doesn't mean the treatment isn't working — BioRePeel's renewal happens primarily within the deeper layers of skin.

Can I wear makeup after BioRePeel?

We recommend waiting at least 12–24 hours before applying makeup to allow the active ingredients to continue working. After that initial period, mineral-based makeup is fine. Many patients find their skin looks so radiant after BioRePeel that they skip makeup altogether for a day or two.

Is BioRePeel safe for all skin types?

BioRePeel is safe and effective for all skin types, including sensitive skin and darker skin tones. The controlled delivery system minimizes the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that can occur with more aggressive peels. Your clinician will still customize the application based on your individual skin profile.

How many BioRePeel sessions do I need?

While you'll notice improvement after a single session, a series of 4–6 treatments spaced 1–2 weeks apart delivers the most transformative results. After completing your initial series, monthly maintenance treatments keep your skin at its best. BioRePeel is gentle enough for regular use and builds cumulative benefits with each session.
