The VI Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel that delivers significant improvement in skin tone, texture, and pigmentation. Understanding the day-by-day recovery helps you plan your treatment timing.
Days 1-2: Skin may feel tight and slightly dry. A warm or tingling sensation is normal. Your skin may appear darker or slightly bronzed. Continue using the post-peel towelettes and moisturizer provided in your VI Peel kit. Do not pick, peel, or scratch.
Days 3-4: Peeling typically begins, starting around the mouth and chin and spreading outward. The peeling may appear patchy and uneven - this is completely normal. Continue using your post-peel products. Avoid the temptation to pull or assist the peeling.
Days 5-7: Most of the peeling is complete. New, fresh skin is revealed beneath. Your skin will look brighter, smoother, and more even-toned. You may still have minor flaking. Continue gentle moisturizing and strict sun protection.
Weeks 2-4: Full results become apparent as your new skin settles. Improved clarity, reduced pigmentation, and smoother texture continue to develop. Apply SPF 30+ daily without exception. The new skin is especially sensitive to UV exposure during this period.
